Chosen Curtains is a family-run business established by husband and wife, Mike and Annette. Founded in 2004, we are proud to be an independent company built using our extensive experience within the industry. We specialise in made-to-measure curtains, blinds, soft furnishings, and upholstery, creating them in our Gloucestershire-based work rooms. Carrying a comprehensive range of stylish fabrics, we work with trusted manufacturers to create first-class products for you. Combined with our commitment to high-quality customer service, we believe that this makes our upholstery services second to none.

We have built a reputation within the local area for our excellent craftmanship. As an online business we still take the time to get to know our customers and offer home visits. We aim to build positive relationships with our clients and are honoured to have gained many returning customers.     We currently hold an extensive range of curtains and fabrics from our large range of suppliers so we are confident we can help you choose the right combination for your home at an affordable price.  If you already have your own fabric then we are happy to make up the items you require.  Alternatively if you wish to make them up yourself we can provide everything you need including fabric, lining, weights, tape and threads.  Whatever you require we can supply – simply give us a call.

    Our experienced staff ensures that all our curtains are made to measure using high quality materials and finishing by hand.  The curtains we make for you can have any type of heading from a basic pencil pleat through a traditional pinch pleat or goblet heading to the modern eyelet and wave system.  We will also provide leading edges and borders to your specification with contrasting fabric and cord and piped or plaited tiebacks for increased interest and style.  In addition we employ a range of top quality lining and interlining which not only improves the curtains’ appearance but also reduces heat loss and provides blackout.

    The Roman blinds we provide are hand made using the highest quality materials.  We are able to avoid unsightly rows of stitching across the main fabric by forming channels in the lining.  This gives the blind a superior finish which can be further enhanced with a pelmet, shaped bottom, braid or tassels at your request.  Other styles of blind we can supply include Austrian, Festoon and London.

    Our extensive selection of roller blinds ranges from practical plain and blackout colours through to attractive textured weaves and stylish prints, all of which can be enhanced with a variety of accessories.  We can also supply Perfect Fit ‘no screw’ blinds that are fitted within a frame and are ideal for tilt or turn windows or glazed doors.  Many of our curtain fabrics can be laminated for use as roller blinds if required.

    Trapezium blinds are both versatile and stylish and are perfect for large windows or serving as a room divider.  We offer the first slim line system designed to support spectacular 250mm wide vanes.  These can be drawn or tilted just like traditional vertical blinds.  The panels are designed to be finished with a choice of wooden bottom bars or plain to your preference.

    Pelmets, Swags & Tails

    A pelmet is a framework placed above a window to conceal curtain fixtures and can be covered with fabric or be painted plywood or plastic.  A valance has a similar function but is always made of fabric.  Swags and tails are pieces of curtain or fabric which hang in a drooping curve over the main curtain.  Curtains and blinds can be enhanced by the addition of the traditional valances, swags and tails, or by padded pelmets.  Pelmets can be straight or shaped as required.

    Upholstery & Loose Covers

    You can pick up new furniture for relatively cheap prices these days.  However, you may have a piece that has seen better days but is of sentimental value or is really good quality and still very serviceable.  Rather than ditch it and buy new, why not have it reupholstered or have loose covers made for it?  In addition we can supply new replacement foam, fibre or feather base and back cushions.  So why not give your old favourites a new lease lf life and upcycle instead of buying new.

    Ultra Violet (UV) light enters through windows all year round and can be responsible for serious damage by causing fading to fabrics, furnishings, paintings and furniture.  We can supply a range of solar protection films that reduce up to 99% of UVs but still allow a clear view through your windows.  The film also reduces glare and reflected heat in the summer whilst retaining heat during the winter.  The range of solar protection films we use are supplied by Enviro Solar Films.
